Yair Green
Founder and Owner
Yair Green has been practicing law for over 50 years. He opened his own practice in 1971 and, in 1978, formed a law partnership with Advocate David Glass, at the time the Chairman of the Constitution, Law and Justice Committee of the Israeli Knesset. In 1980 another partner joined the firm, Advocate Ron Feinstein, former Director General of the Jerusalem Municipality, and soon thereafter Advocate Daniel Azriel, later appointed Director General of the National Insurance Institute, came on board. In 1985 Advocate Yoram Bar-Sela, former Deputy Attorney General of Israel, joined the partnership
Notwithstanding the considerable prestige the firm enjoyed, in 1988 Yair Green left the partnership he had created and once again took up independent practice, adhering to his long-held belief that legal advocacy must first and foremost be a personal professional service and not a business enterprise. His boutique practice soon expanded to include, among others, the current team in Jerusalem and Ramat Gan
The proficiencies Yair Green has attained and perfected over the years of successful practice include real estate law, all aspects of civil law, and representation of public bodies, business and governmental entities, all aspects of family and inheritance law. as well as administrative law, and has garnered significant success in white collar criminal law cases
In addition to being a skilled and dynamic jurist, Yair Green has a well-earned reputation as a master litigator both at the conference table and in court, where he adeptly appears and argues for his clients, conducting and defending depositions and uncompromisingly cross-examining witnesses. Yair Green is fervent in his belief that the mission of the legal profession is to implement jurisprudence and, most importantly, to ensure that justice is done for everyone who needs his services. This is the atmosphere in which all members of the firm’s legal staff operate, diligent in their adherence to professional ethics and scrupulous in their representation of clients
The Israel Bar Association recognized Yair Green’s contribution to the profession in Israel when the Jerusalem branch honored him as a Person of Worth
Over the years Yair Green has held numerous public and professional positions, including on the boards of international companies. In addition to many other roles that he has held, he was Chairman of the Executive Committee of Ben-Gurion University in the Negev, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Jerusalem Academy for Music and Dance, Chairman of Jerusalem Hora Association for Dance & Song, and Chairman of the Board of the Israel Camerata Orchestra in Jerusalem
In 2020 he was named a “Worthy of Jerusalem” – “Yakir Yerushalayim” – for his contribution toward the renewal and revitalization of Jerusalem’s cultural legacy
Yair Green holds an honorary doctorate from Ben Gurion University of the Negev and from Bar Ilan University as well. In 2017, the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance named him an “Honorary Fellow,” citing “his longstanding activity toward the advancement and reinforcement of the status of higher education in IsraelYair Green is married to Gabriela Green, is the father of three children and has ten grandchildren
